Delicious Kale Hummus

Ok I know what you’re thinking. How can this be delicious? What if I told you it’s way more delicious than any other hummus. So delicious in fact, that a 5-serving hummus recipe, was eaten entirely by me. This recipe is tangy, creamy, and crazy healthy. Your whole family will love it!

Recipe

Ingredients:

1 can of chickpeas (drained and washed)

1/4 cup tahini

1/2-1 cup kale (depending on if you want a kale taste or not)

4 tablespoons olive oil

Juice of one lemon

1 garlic clove, minced

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Put the lemon juice and tahini in your food processor or blender (I used a Vitamix and it worked perfectly), process for 30 seconds

  2. Put every other ingredient in except for the red pepper flakes and only put half the olive oil in

  3. Add a few tablespoons of water until it blends smooth

  4. Check frequently and scrape down the sides, you do not want to over blend!

  5. Serve topped with the rest of the olive oil and all the red pepper flakes and salt you desire. Enjoy!
